Design Process

An initial half-hour consultation includes general discussions of clients' needs and ideas for their garden. After that, a deposit secures a basic ground plan of the site and a concept plan that identifies areas reflecting clients' needs.

Ongoing discussion ensures that designer and client are in agreement about the direction the design is going. Once the major aspects of the design are agreed upon, we obtain estimates for the plants/paving stones/arbours/water features/labour/soil or anything else that will be needed, as well as our fee for the project. Upon acceptance of the design, a percentage of the total project is due, with the balance due in agreed stages. Work is carried out by experienced crews, under our personal supervision.

Follow-up care, included in the total price, includes site visits for the first few months to make sure that the newly installed garden is being properly watered and taken care of, especially during the heat of the first summer season.
