About Us
Gardens by Linda, headed by Linda Shulman BA, CGD, BCLNA, was established in 1986. Linda has a background in the arts, with speciality training in garden design through the University of British Columbia.
She has lived and gardened in South Africa, UK and, since 1967, in Vancouver, BC.
Each design is tailored to the individual client, with respect being paid to the style of dwelling and needs of the client. Gardens may reflect drought-resistant Mediterranean influences, lush English garden design, the spare beauty of Japanese design, or modular contemporary influences.
Plants are chosen for their graphic qualities, beauty of flowering and resistance to disease. All gardens are designed for ease of maintenance without the use of chemicals.
Strong consideration is given to the ease and practicality of using the gardens on a daily basis. Design experience ranges from container gardens, small city gardens, through estate gardens. Installations are carried out throughout the Lower Mainland.
